What a wash costs.
No membership, no minimum. Pay per machine — coins in the slot, or card at the kiosk.
A wash at Bubble Boy Laundry in Sunshine is $6 for a small 5kg machine, $9 for an 8kg medium and $12 for a 14kg extra large. Dryers are sold by time: a dollar buys eight minutes in the medium dryers and six in the extra large. Pay with coins at the machine (there’s a change machine for notes) or by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay at the kiosk. Happy Hour (50% off, 7pm–9pm Tuesday & Wednesday) halves the price of every machine started in the window. Prices last checked August 2026.
How much does a wash cost?
One flat price per wash, whatever you put in it. Pick the size by the pile, not the price — a full extra large is far better value than two smalls, and you only wait once.

Which size do I need?
- Small, 5kg — one full basket. A few days of clothes for one person.
- Medium, 8kg — a packed kitchen-tidy bag. A week of clothes for two, or towels plus a couple of sheets.
- Extra large, 14kg — a doona, a couple of blankets, a family’s bedding change, or about three baskets.
Those are dry weights, and washing needs room to move. If the door only shuts with a shove, go up a size.
How much do the dryers cost?
Dryers are sold by time, not by cycle — you put in what you need. A dollar buys longer in the medium dryers than the extra-large ones.

So $3 in a medium dryer is 24 minutes of heat and $3 in an extra large is 18 — but the bigger drum tumbles a big load more freely, so towels, jeans and doonas often finish sooner in there anyway. Light cottons are usually done for $2–$3; a full basket of towels wants $4 or more. Start low and top up: adding a dollar never resets the machine.
Can I buy detergent there?
Forgot detergent? The vending machine sells single-wash sachets, and there’s a refill station in the shop if you bring a bottle.

50% off, 7pm–9pm Tuesday & Wednesday
Enter the promo code at the kiosk to apply the discount. If you can shift your washing to a Tuesday or Wednesday evening, it’s the cheapest time to come in all week.

How do I pay?
Every washer and dryer takes coins, and the change machine on site swaps notes for coins. If you’d rather tap, the kiosk on the wall takes card, Apple Pay or Google Pay — or pay from your own phone while you stand in the shop. The kiosk steps:
- Find the payment kiosk
- Select WASH or DRY, then your machine number
- Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay
- Press START on the machine
