Priced per item, so a bag of five shirts costs what five shirts cost. No minimum weight.
An ironing service that picks up and delivers across Melbourne’s west — Sunshine, St Albans, Footscray, Maribyrnong and the suburbs between — pressed at our shop on Foundry Road and back on hangers the next day.
What it costs
Ironing is charged per item rather than by weight — count the pieces, not the kilos. The price depends on how much work the garment is: a t-shirt is a minute on the board, a pleated maxi dress is not.

Which band is my item?
- Kids — children’s school shirts and shorts, pillowcases.
- Standard — t-shirts, polos, shorts, chinos, work trousers, plain skirts.
- Advanced — business shirts, blouses, everyday dresses, anything with a collar and cuffs.
- Deluxe — dress shirts with pleated fronts, jumpsuits, silk and other fabrics that need a low iron and a careful hand.
- Complex — maxi dresses, pleating, saris and anything with metres of fabric.
- Bedding and tablecloths — priced by size: single, double and queen, or king. A doona cover counts as bedding; a fitted sheet we’d gently talk you out of.
If you’re not sure, send it and we’ll place it in the right band when it comes in — you’ll see each item on the price before anything is charged.
How it works
- Book a pickup and tell us roughly how many pieces. Book before 9:30am for next-day return.
- Bag the ironing on its own — clean and dry, ready for the board. Any bag will do; we tag it with your booking name when it arrives.
- We press it at our shop on Foundry Road, Sunshine, and hang it.
- It comes back the next day, pressed, hung and covered, to the same spot we collected it from.
Ironing is for clean clothes. If your shirts still need a wash, send them as wash and fold and they’ll be washed, dried and folded — or send both and we’ll do the washing first, then press what you’ve asked us to press.
Washing and ironing together
Send both and we’ll price them separately — the washing by weight at $30 per 5kg, the ironing per item. Put them in separate bags so nothing gets pressed that shouldn’t be.
A typical week: 8kg of family washing as wash and fold, plus five business shirts pressed, comes to two weight bands, five advanced items and one delivery fee. The pricing page has an estimator that adds it up for you.
