Bubble Boy Laundry provides a laundry pick up service for NDIS participants, older people living at home and the carers who support them, across Melbourne’s west from our shop in Sunshine. Book in the participant’s name, leave one labelled bag at the door, and it comes back washed, dried and folded the next day. Itemised invoices suit plan-managed and self-managed funding. Same household prices: wash & fold $30 per 5kg, pick up and delivery $15. Prices last checked August 2026.
Who is this laundry service for?

Nothing changes about how we wash. What changes is that the person booking, the person paying and the person whose clothes they are can all be different people — and we’re used to that.
How does it work for carers and support workers?
- Book in the participant’s name. Use the online calendar or call us. Put the collection address and the best contact number for the day — yours or theirs.
- Bag it up. One bag per person, with their name on it. We keep each bag as its own load, so nothing gets mixed between residents or households.
- We collect and return. Same driver, same day each week if you want a standing pickup. Book before 9:30am for next-day return.
- Back folded, in the same bag. Ready to go straight into the drawer.
How do you handle sensitive skin and hygiene?
Tell us if someone has sensitive skin or reacts to fragrance and we’ll use a mild, low-scent detergent. Bedding, towels and anything soiled goes through a hot wash on its own — never in a shared drum with another customer’s clothes. Incontinence-affected items are fine; just bag them separately and let us know so we can handle them first.

The same household prices as everyone else. No care surcharge.

Can NDIS funding be used for laundry?
We can issue an itemised invoice in the participant’s name for each pickup or as a monthly statement, so it can go to a plan manager or be kept for self-managed records.
Whether laundry can be claimed from a plan depends on the plan and how it is managed — check with the plan manager or support coordinator before the first pickup, then call us on 0466 279 189 with what the invoice needs to show.
